Wa Power Sporting Club have appointed Stephen Puro Jnr as their new Chief Executive Officer ahead of the 2025/26 Division One League season.
The announcement was made at a colourful ceremony at the Duori-Naa Palace in Wa on Saturday, September 6, where the Life Patron of the club, Duori-Naa Abdulai Taasung, formally welcomed and blessed Puro’s appointment.
The young football administrator comes with a rising reputation, having guided Techiman Eleven Wonders back to the Ghana Premier League last season before parting ways with the club.
His return to his hometown marks what many see as an opportunity to replicate similar success with Wa Power.
The Upper West-based side are preparing for their third campaign in the Division One League after finishing fourth and fifth in their previous two seasons.
Club officials and supporters believe the new CEO’s expertise and ambition could push them closer to top-flight qualification.
His appointment signals a new chapter for Wa Power, who are determined to become a strong force in Ghanaian football.
