Equity Lab

Sports Equity Lab will organise a speed clinic on Wednesday, April 26 for about 50 athletes at the University of Ghana athletics oval.

The event, which is part of the build-up to the 2023 African Games to be staged in Ghana in September where 36 nations will showcase Africa’s top sporting talent, an international team of coaches led by Loren Seagrave, one of the most sought-after speed coaches in the world, has been invited to help the Ghanaian student-athletes and their coaches improve on their performances.

“There is no better time to run a world-class Max Velocity Speed Summit in Ghana,” Sports Equity Lab says.

In attendance will be celebrated Jamaican sprinter, Asafa Powell, who set the 100 metres world record twice, between June 2005 and May 2008 with times of 9.77 and 9.74 seconds, and other special guests.

Expressing her excitement about the upcoming event, Professor Yetsa Tuakli-Wosornu, founder of Sports Equity Lab, said:

“We’re so excited to put our research into action next week.
