Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML) has called on President John Dramani Mahama to reconsider his directive to terminate all contracts between the company, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
The company said it had submitted a detailed response to the Presidency, providing evidence to counter findings by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), which had described the SML-GRA contract as tainted with illegality and corruption.
The President, through a letter signed by the Secretary to the President, Dr Callistus Mahama, directed the immediate termination of all agreements involving SML.
The directive followed the conclusion of an OSP investigation which cited procurement breaches, contractual overreach, and questioned the necessity of the agreement with SML.

Speaking to the press on Friday, November 7, one of SML’s lawyers, Cephas Boyuo, said the company’s submission to the President included comprehensive documentary evidence addressing each allegation in the OSP report.
“Earlier this afternoon, we delivered a comprehensive response to the President on his directive for the contract between the Ministry of Finance, GRA, and SML to be terminated, which hinged largely on the report of the OSP,” Mr Boyuo said.
“In the letter submitted to the President and also to the Attorney-General, we provided documentary evidence to each and every paragraph and elaborated on the true and accurate picture of the GRA–Ministry of Finance–SML contract,” he added.
Mr Boyuo appealed to the President to carefully review the documents submitted before taking a final decision on the matter.
“We are confident that a review of the documents presented to the President and the Attorney-General would help them appreciate the matters and form a fair, independent opinion on the termination directive.
“We expect that the Presidency will take their time, look at the evidence that we have provided, and take a second look at the termination directive,” he said.
