Samini thrills fans at the 2025 Samini Xperience concert

Laboma Beach came alive on Christmas Eve as reggae and dancehall icon Samini hosted the 2025 edition of his annual Samini Xperience concert, drawing hundreds of music lovers for a night of music and celebration.

The show once again cemented its place as a key highlight on Ghana’s Detty December calendar, with patrons thronging the beachfront venue to enjoy live performances from some of the country’s biggest and rising music stars.

The night featured back-to-back performances from Manifest, Epixode, Jzyno, Kojo Blakk, Kwaw Kese, Ras Kuuku, Praye, Amerado, Kofi Kinaata and Shatta Wale, each delivering high-energy sets that kept the crowd on its feet.

Speaking to JoyNews after his performance, Epixode praised Samini for his longevity and consistency in the music industry. “Samini is one of the artistes who really paved the way for Afrodancehall in Ghana, and he’s still doing it at the highest level,” he said.

Liberian musician Jzyno, who performed alongside some Ghanaian acts, described the experience as special, noting that Samini’s influence goes beyond Ghana. “Being here shows how far Samini’s impact reaches. This is bigger than one country; it’s African music,” he explained.

Rising artiste Kojo Blakk said performing at the Samini Xperience marked an important moment in his career. “To be on this stage with legends and big names is a blessing. Samini has created a platform that gives young artistes like us hope,” he noted.

Veteran rapper Kwaw Kese also hailed Samini as a trailblazer in the industry. “Samini has opened doors for a lot of us. His contribution to reggae and dancehall in Ghana cannot be ignored,” he said.

For Ras Kuuku, the concert was about legacy and unity within the music space. “This is not just a show; it’s a celebration of Samini’s journey and the culture he represents,” he stressed.

Patrons at the event were equally full of praise, commending Samini for his ability to stay relevant and connect with audiences across generations. Many described the concert as the perfect way to spend Christmas Eve.

For Samini, the night was another opportunity to reaffirm his place in Ghana’s music history. With decades in the industry, the reggae and dancehall icon has remained a consistent force, using the Samini Xperience to spotlight both established and emerging artistes while celebrating the growth of Afrodancehall in Ghana.

The 2025 Samini Xperience ended on a high note, reaffirming Samini’s place as one of Ghana’s most influential reggae and dancehall artistes.
