Emerging artiste Trae, known by his stage name Space Lxvvy, is forging his path in the music world, inspired by a family legacy and a passion for raw, authentic expression.
With a genre-defying sound and a deeply emotional approach, Space Lxvvy is quickly becoming a voice for listeners seeking truth and resonance in music. Drawing influence from his mother’s vocal talents and stories of his grandmother’s musical gifts, he sees his journey as a continuation of their legacy.
“I just want to join the family legacy and make them proud,” he says.
His artistic inspirations span a wide range—from Slum Village, Michael Jackson, A$AP Rocky, and Travis Scott to 070 Shake, UGK, Erykah Badu, Linkin Park, and Lil Uzi Vert. His music blends hip-hop, R&B, and more into an emotionally rich tapestry.
“I try to be as true and open as possible, making things that are enjoyable while staying true to my thoughts,” he explains.
Space Lxvvy’s creative process is deeply intuitive, sparked by favorite tracks or life’s emotional weight.
“Sometimes life itself makes me want to get my feelings off my chest and into a rhythm.”
Though he took piano lessons as a child, his true instrument is the microphone—a place where he finds therapeutic release. “Music is my therapy. I trust the microphone with all my thoughts more than anyone.”
His breakout track “Miami Misty,” a collaboration with Priince K, captures the spirit of their early days and remains a fan favorite. A highlight of his career came during SK WRLDWIDE’s first show in 2022, where over 100 fans showed up. “It let me know my time wasn’t being wasted,” he recalls.
Despite his creative drive, navigating the business side of music has been a challenge. Still, he adapts, using social media (@sklxvvy) to connect with fans and grow his reach. “Social media has been the most useful tool for getting people I don’t know in person to discover our work.”
His recent album Enigma., released May 23, 2025, faced technical issues but is set to return to streaming platforms this summer. Through it all, his goal remains clear: to build a timeless catalogue that inspires strength and honesty in listeners.
Looking ahead, he hopes to collaborate with icons like Lil Uzi Vert, A$AP Rocky, or Travis Scott while staying rooted in his mission: “I want to make the world a better place.” It’s a vision shared by collaborators like Priince K.
