Naa Odarley Djoomo I, Queenmother of the Tantra Traditional Area in the Ga North Municipality, has appealed for support to construct a fire station in the area.
Speaking to the media ahead of the upcoming Homowo Festival celebrations scheduled for Saturday, the Queenmother emphasised the urgent need for a fire post to enhance safety and emergency response in the community.
She revealed that the Traditional Council is prepared to release acres of land for the project but requires assistance, particularly from Tantra citizens living abroad, philanthropists, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and the Government of Ghana, to bring the vision to reality.
In addition, Naa Odarley Djoomo I appealed to the Ghana Police Service to intensify patrols in the Tantra area to ensure continued peace and security.
The Queenmother, known for her numerous philanthropic efforts, frequently organises free health screenings, supports the renewal of NHIS cards, and registers new members.
She has also made provision for clean and safe drinking water for the community.
She concluded with a passionate call for peace and unity among the Ga State and the good people of Tantra, urging all to work together for the progress of the community.
