Nana Akosua Sakyibea I, queen mother of Abotakyi Akuapim, says she needs justice for her daughter and two grandchildren, who were allegedly murdered in cold blood a year ago at Tuba.
Nana Sakyibea I, is the mother of Alberta Hagan, the lady who was murdered together with her two children at Tuba Net-Link Estates, a suburb in Kasoa.
Samuel Amoah, aka Biggie, the accused person, has been put before the Adabraka District Court for his involvement in the murder.
Amoah has been charged with three counts of murder and attempted murder.
Amoah’s plea has not been taken, but the court remanded him into lawful custody to reappear on October 13, 2025.
Speaking to journalists at the Adabraka District Court, Nana Sakyibea I denied that her late daughter, Alberta Hagan, was in an amorous relationship with Amoah.
According to her, Amoah ran errands for the late daughter, who was legally married.
She recounted how Amoah murdered each of the victims with a knife, amidst tears at the court premises.
“Why should Amoah kill my daughter and my grandchildren in this manner? I have suffered as a result of this incident. Only God knows what I am going through.
I am glad Amoah has been nabbed from his hideout. I suffered before getting Amoah’s contact, and I gave same to the Police for him to be arrested. I poured libation and called on Nanano,m and Amoah was arrested. I only need justice, that is all I am looking for.”
She commended the Ghana Police Service and the case investigator (one Confidence) for working tirelessly to ensure that Amoah was nabbed at his hideout at Suhum.
Amoah fled the scene after allegedly committing the crime.
However, based on police intelligence, he was apprehended at his hideout in Suhum, Eastern Region, on September 17, 2025.
During interrogation, Amoah is said to have admitted the offence but claimed he did not know what came over him.
