QNET distances itself from alleged scam activities of Ghanaians arrested in Côte d'Ivoire

Global lifestyle and wellness company QNET strongly dissociates itself from the 20 Ghanaians facing legal trial in the Côte d’Ivoire for alleged involvement in fraudulent acts, as stated by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

QNET is a global lifestyle and wellness direct selling company whose name and products are being misused and misrepresented by scammers and fraudulent individuals in parts of the West African sub-region.

In Ghana, QNET is actively collaborating with the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) and Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to dismantle human trafficking and recruitment scams that falsely operate using the company’s name.

“Our collaboration with regulators and law enforcement is growing stronger in Ghana and we are intensifying efforts to work with more security agencies across the sub-Saharan region,” said Biram Fall, Deputy Chairman for QNET Sub-Saharan Africa.

“We want to replicate the actions we are taking in Ghana in collaboration with EOCO, GIS, and the Ghana Police, in other parts of the sub-region”.

In recent years, as part of QNET’s efforts at combating misinformation and scams, the company has ramped up compliance operations in Ghana and across West Africa, introducing training programmes, reporting channels, and joint enforcement efforts to prevent fraud.

In 2024 alone, QNET took 298 disciplinary actions against its independent distributors found violating its code. In 2025, QNET lodged 35 official complaints and had one person convicted. The company’s ‘QNET Against Scams’ campaign continues to educate the public about fake job offers and investment schemes exploiting the company’s identity.

In the past few weeks, QNET’s collaboration with EOCO led to the arrest of six suspects and the rescue of 24 victims in Kasoa, Central Region. In Kumasi, Ashanti Region, 295 victims were rescued and 25 suspects arrested.

In August 2025, GIS arrested individuals identified by QNET’s Compliance team after victims were discovered at an illegal office run by Mintsrifi Company Ltd. On 2 September 2025, the Madina District Court convicted them; each received a three-month prison sentence, a fine, and a deportation order after their release

QNET operates a legitimate direct selling business model, empowering individuals to promote its products transparently and ethically. Any form of deception, exploitation, or human trafficking, the company said, is strictly prohibited under its Code of Conduct for independent distributors.

The company urges the public to stay alert and verify any opportunity claiming affiliation with QNET by contacting its Compliance Hotline.
