Ghanaian youngster Prince Amoako Jnr is set to switch from jersey number 22 to the iconic No.10 at FC Nordsjaelland ahead of the second round of the 2025/2026 season.
The 18-year-old will officially begin wearing the famed shirt from February 8, 2025, placing him among a growing list of Ghanaian prodigies who have carried the number before earning moves to top European clubs. Mohammed Kudus, Ernest Nuamah and Kamaldeen Sulemana all previously donned the No.10 at the Danish club.
The jersey carries significant prestige at Nordsjaelland and is traditionally reserved for players viewed as having a high ceiling. Past wearers include Benjamin Nygren, Mohamed Diomandé and Mathias Jensen, all of whom went on to establish themselves at a higher level.
In his debut professional season, Prince Amoako Jnr has made 19 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing four assists, an impressive return for the teenage attacker.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with interest reportedly emerging from as many as 33 clubs across Europe.
While it remains early days, the youngster could be in line for a move to one of Europe’s top leagues, including the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga or Ligue 1, during next summer’s transfer window if he maintains his current form.
