President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Abidjan from Doha, Qatar, to attend the swearing-in of Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara as he begins another term in office.

A statement issued by Jubilee House on Monday, December 8, said President Mahama is expected to return to Ghana after the ceremony later this morning.

President Alassane Ouattara secured re-election in Côte d’Ivoire’s recent presidential poll, according to provisional results released on Monday.

The country’s Independent Electoral Commission announced that the 83-year-old incumbent won a fourth term with 89.77 per cent of the votes cast.
