Authorities at Prempeh College in Kumasi say the existing school infrastructure is unable to fully support the increasing demand for quality education under the reviewed curriculum.
Assistant Academic Headmaster, James Owusu Achiaw, has revealed that improvised means are being adopted in teaching, which adversely affect education.
Prempeh is reaching out to the government and relevant stakeholders for assistance with learning materials and equipment to significantly enhance the educational experience of students.

Assistant Academic Headmaster of Prempeh College, James Owusu Achiaw, notes that approximately 60 percent of students of the school are enrolled in science courses.
He says improving resources and infrastructure could significantly enhance the learning experience and outcomes for students in the science program.
He highlighted the need for expansion of the administration block, furniture, and upgrade of laboratory equipment to support modern practical methods of teaching and learning.
The headmaster observed that the reviewed school curriculum requires updated computers that will enhance learning and facilitate further research opportunities.

He spoke at the launch of the 25th anniversary celebration of the Prempeh College Class of 2000 – Millennium Amanfoo – who are organizing a series of activities, including the commissioning of a legacy project to the school.
President of the year group, Roland Kwadwo Akomeah, says the group decided to invest in the construction of a canopy walkway to provide a sheltered path for students to access their classrooms and dormitories, even during rainy weather.
The project is estimated to cost $100,000, reflecting a commitment to improving the school’s facilities and ensuring the well-being of its students.
