The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), has arrested more than 300 suspects in an ongoing joint security operation across parts of the Ahafo Region.
The coordinated exercise, which spans communities including Hwidiem, Kenyasi, Goaso, and Mehame, is aimed at curbing crime, maintaining public order, and enhancing community safety.

Police sources say the operation has so far progressed smoothly, with no major incidents reported.
Earlier updates indicated that about 30 individuals were picked up at different locations, but the number has since risen to over 300 as the exercise intensifies.
According to the police, details regarding the suspects’ identities and the specific offences for which they were arrested will be made public as investigations continue.
