The price of petrol is expected to go up marginally from August 1, 2025.
However, the prices of diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) are expected to decline.
This is based on the outlook report that guides the pricing of the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) in the country by the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC).
Projected Prices at Pumps
According to the report, the price of petrol at the pumps is projected to increase by 0.47% to GH¢2.80 per liter.
Diesel and LPG prices, on the other hand, are expected to decline by up to 0.29% per litre at the pumps.
However, some OMCS told Joy Business that they might keep their prices unchanged for some products at the pumps.
Reasons
According to the COMAC, the mixed pricing outlook has been influenced by stable crude prices on the international market and the Ghana cedi.
Pricing Outlook
The report showed that oil prices fell by about 0.28% from US$70.62 per barrel.
The prices of petroleum products on the international market increased by 0.43%. Diesel, on the other hand, fell by 1.22% and LPG registered the sharpest drop among all the products, going down by 1.80%.
