Gospel singer and songwriter, Perez Musik, won two awards at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

He won the Songwriter of the Year and Best Male Vocal Performance awards with his hit song ‘Hewale Lala’.

In the songwriter category he beat off competition from Piesie Esther, Black Sherif, Diana Hamilton, Ewura Abena, and Fameye.

He dedicated the award to his late mother, God and his team.

“This is what God does when decides to do what he does! God bless everyone who streamed, prayed with and shared the song,” he said.

Speaking about the award, he also said although he was confident of his work he believed any other nominee in the category was also a winner.
