“Joy 99.7 FM’s #JoyFM90sJam stands out for me as one memorable event. The production and sound quality were impressive, and the overall execution showed thoughtful planning,” he wrote.

“For an outdoor event of this scale, the level of order, coordination, and overall decency was especially commendable,” he added, congratulating the JOY FM team for what he called a successfully delivered event.

Another patron, Patrick, described the concert as the highlight of the festive season, saying the “Golden Era” of music had reclaimed its throne.

“The biggest party of the festive season,” he said, recalling how hundreds of fans thronged the Pleasant Gardens in Dzorwulu for the 2026 edition of the event.

According to Patrick, the excitement was evident from the moment DJ Black dropped the first track, reaffirming the enduring appeal of 90s music, a decade known for its groove, attitude and timeless lyrics. He also described Kojo Oppong Nkrumah’s guest DJ appearance as “the icing on the cake.”

The event attracted a massive crowd, with the venue filled to capacity and latecomers struggling to find parking spaces.

Beyond the music, patrons also turned the night into a fashion showcase, arriving in throwback outfits that revived classic 90s streetwear styles.

JOY FM’s annual 90s Jam has become a staple on Ghana’s entertainment calendar, drawing music lovers across generations and reinforcing the station’s reputation for curating large-scale, well-organised live events.
