The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced a reduction in the passport application fee, bringing it down from GH₵500 to GH₵350.
This new fee represents a 30% decrease.
The new fee structure will come into effect on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
The move is aimed at making passport acquisition more affordable for Ghanaians, in line with government efforts to ease the cost of essential services.
The revised fee applies to all new passport applications, while those renewing existing passports will also benefit from the reduction.
