Ordiio, the first Afro-leaning sync licensing platform crafted for creators inspired by culture, has officially launched to address growing challenges of music discovery in an increasingly saturated global music space.
With more than 123,000 songs created worldwide every day, finding the right music has become difficult for both artists and audiences.
Ordiio positions itself as a solution, offering a dedicated platform for Afro-inspired and Afro-leaning music for sync licensing.
With the tagline “Crafted for creators, inspired by culture,” the platform provides a catalogue of authentic, curated, and ready-to-license music, sound effects, and compositions for use in films, documentaries, advertisements, YouTube videos, and other audio-visual content.
Unlike generic sync libraries, Ordiio says every track on the platform is handpicked by curators and composers deeply rooted in both established and emerging African music markets. The goal, according to the platform, is to move beyond broad “world music” labels by offering tracks that are authentic, diverse, and reflective of the talent shaping music culture across Africa and the diaspora.
The platform also introduces key innovations, including Muse AI, which allows users to type prompts such as “gentle piano build” or “high-energy Afrobeat opener” to receive curated suggestions from Ordiio’s catalogue.
Another feature is Stems Access, which enables creators to access individual stems, including vocals, drums, and instruments, allowing them to customise soundtracks to fit specific scenes.
The web app further highlights a region-forward, creator-first approach, with music selected by composers and curators who live and work within African music spaces across genres. Ordiio says this eliminates generic stock sounds in favour of music that feels authentic and familiar.
Subscriptions start at USD 4.99 per month, with creators, brands, and storytellers able to sign up and explore the catalogue on ordiio.com. The launch comes at a time when platforms such as YouTube are tightening copyright and music usage rules.
