The Minister in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has said the Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Dr Dominic Ayine, is expected to present a major Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) update tomorrow, October 22.
According to Mr. Kwakye Ofosu, the cases have become a long-awaited “Rumble in the Jungle”, hence the need for action.
ORAL is an initiative launched by the NDC government to recover looted state assets from individuals, particularly politicians and politically exposed persons, mainly from the previous administration.
Earlier this year, the then Chairman of ORAL, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, submitted a comprehensive list of corruption-related cases to the Attorney-General.
It is estimated that if all stolen assets are successfully recovered, the state could generate approximately 21 billion dollars.
