The Author,Wisdom Agbodo is a concerned citizen

I address you in my capacity as a citizen of the Republic of Ghana, compelled by civic duty and
constitutional obligation to draw attention to a matter of urgent national importance.

The people of Ghana entrusted the mandate of governance to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), under the leadership of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, upon the solemn assurance that
state resources unlawfully appropriated under the preceding administration would be recovered in
accordance with the dictates of justice and the rule of law.

This undertaking served as a linchpin of public confidence in the current administration and remains an obligation of both legal and moral significance.

As the principal legal advisor to the State and the custodian of prosecutorial authority, your office
bears the highest responsibility to safeguard the Constitution, uphold the principles of accountability, and ensure that justice is neither delayed nor denied.

The public interest demands that you exercise your prosecutorial mandate with firmness, impartiality, and expedition, particularly in relation to individuals alleged to have unlawfully dissipated or misappropriated
public resources.

The goodwill reposed in the current administration does not constitute an indefinite license but
rather a conditional trust predicated upon visible action and tangible results.

The people of Ghana therefore expect your office to proceed with courage, impartiality, and resolve in instituting prosecutions against all persons implicated in acts of corruption and unlawful enrichment.

Any failure to discharge this constitutional duty would not only erode public confidence but would also
compromise the credibility and historical legacy of the administration you serve.

Be advised that the sovereign will of the people does not accommodate inertia or partial measures
in the face of corruption.

The hour calls for demonstrable transparency, decisive prosecutions, and the recovery of assets that rightfully belong to the Republic. Ghanaians will not acquiesce to inaction, nor will history absolve complacency.

I therefore respectfully urge you, in fidelity to your oath of office, to act with the urgency, diligence, and tenacity demanded by this solemn task, so as to restore faith in our democratic institutions and vindicate the rule of law.
