
The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS)–UK Chapter has announced the appointment of a new executive team to steer the affairs of the association for the 2025/2026 administrative year.
The new team is expected to focus on advocacy, student support, and initiatives that promote unity and development within the Ghanaian student community abroad.
The appointments, made in line with Article 17(a)(i)(9) of the NUGS Constitution as amended, are expected to strengthen leadership and enhance service delivery to Ghanaian students studying in the United Kingdom.
Samuel Obiri Yeboah has been appointed President, with Gifty Abbam Tawiah serving as General Secretary. Angela Elinam Atsu takes up the role of Secretary for Finance, while Derrick Asante Agyapong has been named Secretary for Programs and Projects.
Emmanuella Manukure will serve as Secretary for Women’s Development, and Samuel Abokyi has been appointed Secretary for Press.
In announcing the appointments, the leadership of NUGS congratulated the new executives.
They have been urged to serve with dedication, integrity, and a strong commitment to improving the welfare and interests of Ghanaian students in the UK.
