The Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev John Ntim Fordjour, has denied receiving any legal documents relating to reports that he is being sued by his parliamentary colleague, Mr Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, MP for South Dayi.
In a statement issued on Thursday, 16 May 2025, Rev Ntim Fordjour expressed surprise at the media coverage of the purported lawsuit, insisting he has not been officially served with any legal papers.
“Media reports of a suit supposedly filed by my colleague, Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Mr Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, have come to my attention,” he said. “I have, however, not been served with any such suit.”

Rev Ntim Fordjour, who is also the Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, indicated that he would not be distracted by what he described as an unsubstantiated legal move.
“I therefore await the service of the supposed suit and will demonstrate that it is of no merit,” he stated, signalling his preparedness to respond appropriately once the case is formally brought to his attention.
The lawmaker’s comments follow a series of media reports suggesting that Mr Dafeamekpor has initiated legal action against him. Details of the suit have not yet been made public.
