Former Deputy Minister of Education, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has strongly condemned the recent raid on the residence of former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.

He described the act as unacceptable and a violation of due process, urging authorities to uphold the rule of law in all investigations.

In an interview with Metro TV on Thursday, 13 February, Ntim Fordjour expressed concern over what he termed as an alarming trend of intimidation against former government officials.

He emphasised that while accountability is essential in governance, it must be pursued through lawful and transparent means, devoid of harassment or political persecution.

“The sanctity of one’s home must be respected, and due process must be followed at all times. No one is above the law, but justice must not be administered in a manner that appears vindictive or politically motivated,” he stated.

He further called on security agencies to ensure professionalism and impartiality in carrying out their duties.

He called for calm and urged authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the raid to prevent future occurrences.
