The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced that its registration portal for the 2025/2026 national service year will close on Monday, December 22, following several deadline extensions aimed at accommodating all eligible graduates.

In a statement issued on Sunday, December 21, the Authority said the decision brings to an end a 10-week registration exercise that began on October 8, alongside an eight-week validation process which commenced on October 29, 2025.

Both stages, the NSA noted, were extended multiple times to ensure maximum participation and to address challenges encountered by prospective service personnel.

According to the Authority, the closure of the portal is necessary to allow for the finalisation of administrative databases, ensure accurate deployment records and enable the timely processing of allowances.

It will also allow the NSA to proceed with critical parallel postings, including those of nurses and teachers, to support schools and health facilities across the country in the coming year.

The NSA highlighted what it described as unprecedented support measures implemented throughout the registration period, particularly to assist graduates facing data mismatches between their academic records and their Ghana Card details.

As part of these efforts, the Authority established a dedicated support desk at its headquarters from October 10 to October 24, hosting officials from the National Identification Authority (NIA) and the Ghana Publishing Company.

This initiative allowed affected personnel to resolve Ghana Card discrepancies and gazetting issues directly at a single location.

In addition, the Director-General of the NSA negotiated a significant reduction in government gazette service charges to ease the financial burden on personnel requiring amendments.

The Authority also partnered with the Ghana Publishing Company to introduce an electronic gazette platform, digitising and speeding up what had previously been a largely manual process.

Nationwide technical and administrative support was also provided through specialised help desks at all 16 regional NSA offices.

A central IT and documentation helpdesk at the national headquarters, which became operational on December 8, was maintained to resolve complex portal-related issues.

The Authority further extended both the registration and validation timelines based on feedback from stakeholders, while issuing regular updates through traditional media, social media and press briefings to keep prospective personnel informed.

NSA technical teams also worked closely with tertiary institutions and the NIA to cross-check graduate lists and identify data discrepancies early, guiding affected individuals through the resolution process.

In what it described as a final compassionate adjustment, the NSA announced a last grace period for individuals who initiated but could not complete their validation due to documented technical or administrative challenges.

The Director-General of the Authority, Madam Ruth Dela Seddoh, has authorised this final window to be handled strictly on a case-by-case basis through regional NSA offices.

Affected individuals are required to present all relevant documentation, including proof of their initial validation attempt, on or before Monday, December 22, 2025.

The Authority said this measure is intended to ensure that all diligent prospective service personnel are properly validated and registered before the Christmas holidays, enabling them to begin the new year ready to serve.

The NSA reminded all service personnel that national service remains a patriotic duty and urged graduates to accept their postings and contribute meaningfully to national development across both public and private sectors.

It reiterated that the closure of the portal is critical to finalising postings, ensuring accurate payrolls and eliminating ghost names.

The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to fairness, transparency and efficiency, pointing to the extensive support systems deployed throughout the registration period.

Personnel with outstanding issues have been advised to contact the NSA Call Centre on 0554404422, 0554400078 or 0554400069, or reach out via the Authority’s official social media platforms.

The National Service Authority expressed appreciation for the cooperation of all prospective service personnel and assured the public of its continued commitment to a smooth and transparent registration and deployment process.
