NSA addresses registration challenges for 2025/26 service year

The National Service Authority (NSA) has issued a public notice addressing concerns raised following the opening of the National Service Portal on Wednesday, 8th October 2025, for the registration of the 2025/26 batch of prospective service personnel.

According to the Authority, several applicants have encountered difficulties during the online registration process, with the most common issue being data mismatches particularly involving discrepancies in Date of Birth (DOB) and name details between institutional submissions and the applicants’ Ghana Cards.

In a statement issued on Thursday, October 9, the Authority outlined specific measures to resolve the issues and called on prospective personnel to strictly comply with the following directives:

1. Swearing of Affidavits for Data Mismatches
   Where a prospective national service personnel’s details submitted by their tertiary institution do not match the information on their Ghana Card, the individual must swear an affidavit, have it gazetted, and submit it to their school.
   The institution will then forward the corrected information to the NSS, enabling the applicant to complete registration.
2. Rectification of Institutional Errors
   If the mismatch is due to an error made by the tertiary institution during data submission, the applicant must report the error directly to the institution.
   The school is then required to correct the mistake and officially communicate the accurate details to the NSS.
3. Submission of Corrected Details
   All corrected information should be sent by the institutions to [email protected], with a copy to [email protected].

The NSA reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all eligible prospective personnel are duly registered to undertake their mandatory national service in key sectors of national development.

The statement further encouraged applicants to reach out to NSA District or Regional Offices for additional support or clarification, or alternatively, contact the NSA Head Office support services for assistance.
