Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has emphasized the need for the remaining two months before the elections to be dedicated to productive efforts rather than the theatrics displayed by NDC MPs in Parliament.
He argued that the focus should be on convincing undecided voters about plans to create jobs, reduce living costs, improve road infrastructure, and enhance access to health and education.
In a post on X, Otchere Darko commended Majority Leader Alex Afenyo Markin for his leadership in avoiding potential confrontations with the opposition, stating that the NPP MPs would refrain from engaging in what he termed a “circus” over parliamentary seating arrangements.
He insisted that until the Speaker confirms adherence to the Supreme Court’s directive regarding vacant seats, NPP MPs would remain absent from Parliament, prioritizing substantive discussions over “macho drama.”
