Media Practitioner Jefferson Kwamina Sackey has emerged as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Ablekuma Central constituency.

Out of 1,484 valid votes, Mr. Sackey secured a leading position with 539 votes, surpassing his main competitor, Collins Amoah, who obtained 493 votes.

Other contenders included Ebenezer Gilbert Nii Narh Nartey with 441 votes and Lawrence Anyetei Adjei with 11 votes.

Expressing optimism before the electoral process, Mr. Sackey believed in his ability to win the primaries, emphasizing the importance of the NPP reclaiming the Ablekuma Central seat with him as the occupant.

He asserted that presenting a strong parliamentary candidate was crucial for the NPP’s success in the constituency.

“Today I am winning the primary, so far so good, it has been a clean and fair election. I will win; we believe that the Ablekuma Central seat is for the NPP, and we need to present a formidable candidate to win,” Mr. Sackey confidently stated.
