Flagbearer aspirant, Kennedy Agyapong, has picked the first slot on the ballot ahead of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries.

The opposition party conducted the balloting for positions on the ballot paper ahead of its much-anticipated presidential primaries, slated for later this month.

The exercise, held on Friday, October 10, saw the former Assin Central MP pick the number one spot.

The order of balloting is as follows:

  1. Kennedy Agyapong
  2. Bryan Acheampong
  3. Dr Mahamudu Bawumia
  4. Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum
  5. Kwabena Agyepong

The process was supervised by the party’s elections committee at the NPP headquarters in Accra.

Speaking shortly after the draw, spokesperson for the Ken Agyapong campaign team, Kwasi Kwarteng, said the number one slot symbolises victory for their candidate.
