The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has assured Ghanaians that it remains resolute in delivering on the mandate entrusted to it one year ago.
It insists that the responsibility of governance continues to guide every step of its administration.
In a Christmas Day statement issued and signed by its General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party extended warm seasonal greetings to Ghanaians at home and abroad.
It urges citizens to reflect on the values of compassion, sacrifice, peace and gratitude that define the Christmas season.
Beyond the goodwill message, the NDC placed strong emphasis on the significance of the moment, noting that the festive period coincides with one year since Ghanaians handed the party the responsibility to govern.
The party acknowledged the weight of that trust and stressed that it remains focused on turning its vision into tangible outcomes that positively affect citizens’ lives.
According to the statement, the past year has been defined by deliberate efforts to restore confidence in governance, stabilise the economy and lay the groundwork for sustainable growth.
The party said these efforts have gone hand in hand with a focus on social protection and accountability, signalling its intention to govern with discipline and responsibility.
Looking ahead to the new year, the NDC reaffirmed its firm and unwavering commitment to ensuring that government fully delivers on its mandate.
The party outlined key priorities for the period ahead, including deepening economic recovery, expanding opportunities for young people, strengthening public institutions and improving living standards across the country.
The statement also sought to reassure the public that the party will remain responsive to the needs of Ghanaians, while maintaining a results-oriented approach to governance, guided by the authority conferred on it by the electorate.
As the year draws to a close, the NDC said it remains mindful of the expectations of the Ghanaian people and committed to meeting them, while wishing all citizens a peaceful Christmas season and a prosperous New Year.
