The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced an adjustment to its nationwide working hours, with registration services set to close earlier than usual on Friday, March 27, 2026.
In a statement issued on Thursday, March 26, the NIA stated that all its offices across the country will suspend registration activities ahead of schedule to pave the way for Heritage Month celebrations.
According to the directive, services at the NIA Head Office will end at 10:00 am, while regional and district offices will close at 12:00 noon on the day.

The temporary change is part of efforts to enable staff to actively engage in activities marking Heritage Month, which celebrates Ghana’s culture and history.
The NIA has assured the public that normal registration services will resume on Monday, 30 March 2026.
