The Kingmaker and Paramount Stool Father of Ngleshie Alata, Nii Akuntaa Kojo X, has issued a stern warning to Nii Ayinsah Sasraku III, a Dzaasetse of Plenor, cautioning him against organizing a press conference scheduled for July 29, 2025, under the theme “Reclaiming Ngleshie Alata Stool Lands and Setting the Records Straight.”
In a strongly-worded letter, Nii Akuntaa Kojo X, through his attorney Nii Ayi Okufubour I, made it clear that Nii Ayinsah has no legitimate authority to speak on matters concerning the Ngleshie Alata Stool. The letter emphasized that only the recognized Dzaasetse of Ngleshie Alata, Nii Okpe V, and the designated kingmakers possess the mandate to address such issues.
“You are just a Dzaasetse of Plenor and you cannot assume the right to talk for the Ngleshie Alata Stool,” the letter stated. It further admonished Nii Ayinsah to desist from dragging the stool into what the Kingmaker described as a “social media war.”
The Kingmaker asserted that the Sempe Stool, with which Nii Ayinsah is allegedly aligned, holds no ownership rights over lands in Ngleshie Alata. “If Sempe claims Ngleshie Alata has taken lands belonging to them, they should proceed to court,” the letter advised, referencing an ongoing case — Nii Okpe V & 20 Others vs Nii Akwei Bonsu & Another (Suit No: GJ/1034/2024) — as evidence of formal channels being pursued.
The letter also recalled a prior contempt conviction involving Nii Ayinsah Sasraku III in the case The Republic vs Nii Ayinsah Sasraku & 3 Others, Ex-Parte Nii Okpe V (Suit No: CR/0447/2022), warning that any further actions may lead to more serious consequences.
“You are warned not to organize the said press conference since this battle should not be made a social media war,” the letter concluded.
Copies of the warning have been sent to the Ngleshie Alata Council of Ambassadors and all media houses, signaling the seriousness of the matter and the stool’s intent to preserve order and respect for traditional authority.
As the controversy unfolds, stakeholders within Ga traditional circles and the wider public are closely watching the developments, which could have broader implications for chieftaincy and land ownership in the region.
