NEIP Empowers Young Kayayei With Working Equipment
The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), through its Kayaye Empowerment Program, has graduated young Kayayei, equipping them with essential working tools and materials. At the event, young women who were trained in various trades such as detergent making, beading, jewelry, makeup artistry, pedicure, manicure, nails, and decoration received the necessary tools to kickstart their businesses.
Deputy CEO of NEIP, Abigail Swad Laryea, highlighted that the Kayaye Empowerment Program is effectively addressing unemployment by empowering young Ghanaian women, particularly those on the streets of Accra. “The country is facing enormous job challenges, and there is a need to encourage our youth to be job creators, not job seekers,” she stated. NEIP CEO emphasized the program’s commitment to supporting youth, especially women, ensuring a brighter and safer future for them. She urged all graduates to utilize the tools and equipment they received to create job opportunities for others who were not part of the program.
Dignitaries who attended the event praised the Vice President for this initiative, urging him to continue his hard work in supporting entrepreneurial growth in Ghana.
