NDC’s Pro Forum to hold Diaspora Reset engagement in November

In its bid to connect global talent to foster development in Ghana, the Pro Forum of the governing National Democratic Congress is set to hold a Diaspora Reset Engagement Conference (DREC) in London in November 2025.

DREC 2025 would bring together thought leaders, professionals, policymakers, a representative from the business community from across the United Kingdom, Europe, and Ghana to explore new pathways for meaningful diaspora engagement and national transformation, according to Kenneth Johnson who is President of the Pro Forum UK and Europe.

The three-day engagement is being held in collaboration with the Ghana High Commission, UK and is expected to focus on building stronger partnerships between the Ghanaian diaspora and institutions back home.
Happening under the theme “Connecting Global Talent to Local Transformation,” DREC 2025 seeks to highlight the strategic role of Ghanaians abroad in driving innovation, investment, and development, while promoting unity and a renewed sense of purpose within the Ghanaian community.

“We recognize the incredible amount of human resource talent that Ghana has in the diaspora. As the NDC government sets out on this huge task of resetting our country and bringing back the country’s economy on track to generate jobs and prosperity for our people. This is why this meeting is critical, especially at this time in history,” Johnson said.

The conference will open on Friday, 14 November, with a Soiree and Cultural Night -an evening of networking, music, and cross exchange. On Saturday, 15 November, the event will feature keynote addresses, expert panels, and sector-based discussions on governance, investment, youth empowerment, and diaspora policy.

The event concludes on Sunday, 16 November, with a Thanks and Brunch Session, celebrating achievements and outlining the next steps in the diaspora engagement agenda.

Johnson notes further that: “This year’s DREC is more than a conference-it’s a collective reset. Our goal is to harness the strength, knowledge, and influence of the diaspora to impact national growth in practical, measurable ways.”

Participation is open to professionals, business leaders, and members of the Ghanaian community across Europe and beyond.
