Delegates of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Sagnarigu Constituency of the Northern Region have chosen a new parliamentary candidate to represent them in the 2024 general elections.
Majority of the 1, 330 delegates dumped the incumbent MP, A.B.A Fuseini for a newcomer, Attah Issah at the party’s primaries on Saturday.
Attah Issah polled 801 of the votes, while A.B.A Fuseini had 330 of the votes.
Other aspirants were Hamzah Abubakar who had 27 votes, Ahmed Yakubu with 120 votes, while Abdul Majid polled 42 votes.
For the presidential primary provisional results so far suggest a landslide victory for former President John Mahama.
