Nana Ama McBrown, Kate Henshaw headline Women of Valour London 2026

Ghanaian media icon Nana Ama McBrown and Nigerian actress Kate Henshaw will headline the 2026 edition of Women of Valour in London, organisers have announced.

The event, founded by award-winning broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah, will take place on March 7, 2026, at the London Hilton on Park Lane under the theme “The Pursuit of Fearlessness.”

Speaking during an Instagram Live session announcing the speaker line-up, Nana Ama McBrown promised attendees a transformational experience.

“People will not leave this event without being empowered. Everyone should be there for an unforgettable experience,” she said.

Kate Henshaw, renowned for her work as an actress and social advocate, emphasised the importance of authenticity at the gathering.

The fourth edition of Women of Valour marks a significant milestone as the movement expands its global reach from its roots in Accra to Paris and now London.

Joining the two West African media powerhouses are Lesley Batchelor CBE from the United Kingdom and Cambodian-American survivor advocate Debora Shanley.

Ms Batchelor is CEO of Export Boot Camps and former Director General of the UK Institute of Export and International Trade, widely respected for her work in international trade and SME development.

Debora Shanley, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, shares her story through a lens of healing and courage, encouraging audiences to confront fear without surrendering their values.

London was chosen as the host city for its dynamic African and global diaspora communities, which align with the platform’s mission to inspire women through shared stories of courage, resilience, and purpose.

Nana Ama McBrown, born Felicity Ama Agyemang, rose to fame through the Ghanaian TV drama series Tentacles and became a household name in Twi films, including Asoreba and Kumasi Yonko.

Beyond acting, she has built a strong television career hosting programmes such as The McBrown Kitchen and United Showbiz.

She currently hosts Onua Showtime on Onua TV and serves as a brand ambassador for several organisations.

Kate Henshaw is a celebrated Nigerian actress with a long career across film and television, recognised for her award-winning performances and advocacy work supporting women’s rights, child protection, and social change.

Women of Valour was launched as an annual event marking International Women’s Day, celebrating women of courage whose stories inspire others to persevere and confront their fears.
