Ghanaian musician turned doctor Dr. Oduro has launched a social intervention initiative, the Dr. Oduro Foundation, aimed at supporting communities through healthcare, education and community development.
The foundation is a compassionate force for change founded by Dr. Emmanuel Oduro, a Doctor of Pharmacy, with a mission to positively impact lives across Ghana and the United States.
“Through free medical outreach programmes, scholarships, and social initiatives, we’re building healthier, stronger communities. Together, we can make a lasting difference one life at a time,” he said.
The foundation provides scholarships to students, promotes health and wellness through social media and seminars, donates educational materials to institutions to support learning and health awareness, offers free health services to communities, and supports projects that foster social and community development.
Touching lives through healthcare, education and hope, the foundation is focused on creating healthier, educated and brighter communities in Ghana and the United States.
The Dr. Oduro Foundation aims to make a positive impact in the lives of people and is working towards achieving this mission.
Emmanuel Oduro, popularly known in hiplife music circles as Mr Oduro, is now a certified pharmacist in the United States of America.
Dr Oduro earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from D’Youville University School of Pharmacy in Buffalo, New York.
Although he has not fully returned to music, Dr. Oduro has found a creative way to blend his artistic and scientific worlds. He now uses elements of music and poetry to promote health awareness and discipline.
Dr. Oduro rose to fame in the early 2000s during the height of Ghana’s hiplife movement, with songs such as Abiba, Meeli and Awura Adwoa.
