Music producer Jay Q returns as singer; releases ‘Gbelewu’

One of Ghana’s top music producers, Jay Q, has released a new song titled ‘Gbelewu’, this time not just as a producer but also as the performer of the vocals.

Gbelewu is an Afrobeats track that blends traditional African rhythms with contemporary production. The self-produced single talks about emotional detachment and self-preservation.

The lyrics reference the philosophy of seeing, hearing and speaking no evil, while acknowledging humanity’s capacity for harm.

Gbelewu showcases Jay Q’s production skills alongside his introspective songwriting.

Jay Q, currently based in the United States of America is the brain behind productions like Oluman Boogie – FBS ft. Tinny, Ahomka Womu – VIP, Sikletele – 4×4, Odo Fitaa – 4×4, Toffee – Castro, 16 Years – Mzbel ft. Castro, Yopoo – Mzbel, I’m in Love – Mzbel ft. Castro, Monkey Chop Banana – Nkasei ft. Bright, Klublofo (I’m Going to Come) – Buk Bak, among many others.
