The Ghanaian midfielder made himself available to receive a cutback pass from Vladimir Coufal to break the deadlock after just 13 minutes played, registering his third league goal this season in just five starts.

However, the Hammers were unable to hold to their lead as Odsonne Edouard scored the equaliser for Palace.

Elsewhere at the Vitality Stadium, Semenyo, who was handed a starting berth, also registered his third league goal this campaign as Bournemouth played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with Aston Villa.

Semenyo scored on the 10th-minute mark, finishing off brilliantly after being teed by Ryan Christie to hand the Cherries the lead.
