Mobilemoney Limited, Ghana’s largest digital transaction platform, as part of its new measures to reduce fraud on its network, organised a forum at Agbobloshie Market in Accra to educate traders on protecting their mobile money wallets from fraud.
The “Shine Your Eyes” campaign, which featured staff engaging with traders, addressing concerns, and promoting safe digital financial practices, took place on Wednesday, October 8.
Messages such as “never share your PIN or OTP with anyone”, “don’t allow anyone to perform transactions on your behalf”, and “don’t approve any prompts or transactions you didn’t initiate” formed the core of the advocacy campaign.
The initiative aims to promote safe digital financial practices, empower users to recognise and avoid fraudulent activities, and reduce fraud on the MobileMoney network.
MobileMoney Limited emphasises that education is a core pillar in its anti-fraud strategy, and the company is committed to taking education directly to communities.
The campaign featured drama performances and interactive sessions to make fraud prevention messages more engaging and impactful.
By educating customers on safe mobile money practices, MobileMoney Limited is working to protect its users from fraud and promote a safer digital financial environment in Ghana.
