The GUBA Foundation is proud to announce a meaningful partnership with Miss Malaika 2024, Lucille Naa Kwaley King for this year’s Right to Play Day, a special initiative set to take place at Henry House Community School.

This collaboration marks a united commitment to championing the right of every child to learn, play, and grow in an inclusive environment.

Leading the ‘Right to Play Day initiative’, a flagship programme of the GUBA Foundation, Ms. King aims to send a powerful message to teachers, parents, traditional leaders, and other key stakeholders in Ho, Volta Region, on the critical role of play in a child’s development.

Scheduled for Thursday, 26th June 2025, at Henry House Community School, a non-profit school serving KG to Basic 9 students in Ho, the event will bring together about 400 schoolchildren for a day of expert panel discussions, sports, and interactive games.

As a passionate advocate for children, particularly children with disabilities such as autism, Ms. King expressed her enthusiasm about participating in the programme. Ms. King will be joined by Dr. Vannessa Aseye Atikpu, Medical Doctor (MD) and Mama Numanyavor II, the Queen Mother of Kpenoe.

Other participating organisations are Embrace the Spectrum, Touch of Hope Foundation and the True Light Foundation. As we mark this year’s Right to Play Day, the GUBA Foundation urges communities, institutions, and families to embrace play as more than recreation, it is a powerful gateway to learning, inclusion, and early identification of developmental needs such as autism.
