MISA Energy rebrands in Kumasi, pledges better service and sustainability

MISA Energy, formerly ENGEN Ghana, has officially introduced its new brand to the Kumasi market, promising improved customer experience while maintaining the same fuel quality and convenience customers are used to.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony at the Aprade community along the Kumasi–Accra highway, Chief Executive Officer Brent Nartey said the rebrand is about sharpening the company’s focus for the future rather than changing what already works.

“What we have done with this rebrand is to make what is already on the market better, clearer, and more future-focused. Our commitment to exceptional service, reliability and trust hasn’t changed,” Mr Nartey said.

The rebranding marks a new chapter for the oil marketing company, which has operated in the Ashanti Region for more than two decades. Now trading as MISA Energy, the company says it is positioning itself to play a leading role in Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector, with an emphasis on innovation, sustainability and service excellence.

As part of the rollout, the Aprade fuel station has been redesigned as a one-stop service point, offering not only fuel but also vehicle maintenance services such as a washing bay, alongside grocery shopping, pharmaceutical products and other personal services.

Company officials explained that the rebrand reflects a broader ambition to build a distinctly African energy brand, powered by Ghanaian leadership and guided by global industry standards.

Customers who visited the station during the unveiling were treated to free fuel coupons and branded souvenirs to mark the new phase of the company’s operations in the region.

Long-time customer Nana Atobrah Agyemang, who says he has patronised the station for about 12 years, welcomed the expanded services.

“Mostly when I come here with my kids all the way from Patasi when we are heading to Accra, while the car is being washed, we go to the mart to get drinks and pastries, then the barbering salon. Here you really get value for money,” he said.

MISA Energy says similar rebranding activities will be rolled out across other parts of the country as it consolidates its presence under the new name.
