The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has issued a stern public warning to all Ghanaians, specifically targeting the youth, regarding the deceptive and dangerous activities of QNET and similar fraudulent recruitment networks.

In an official public announcement dated 13th March 2026, the Ministry expressed deep concern over the rising number of Ghanaian nationals being lured out of the country under false pretences. These criminal networks are reportedly using sophisticated “bait” tactics, including:

  • Promises of non-existent employment opportunities.
  • False business prospects.
  • Deceptive offers to facilitate visas for travel to Europe.

The reality for many victims, according to the Ministry, is far from the promise of prosperity. Once abroad, these individuals often find themselves stranded, detained by foreign immigration authorities, or forced into distressing and exploitative living and working conditions.

The Ministry has urged the public to exercise extreme caution and to verify all travel, recruitment, and business offers through appropriate and official government channels before making any financial commitments or travel arrangements.

“The Ministry remains committed to working with relevant national institutions to protect the welfare of Ghanaian citizens and to curb the activities of criminal networks who prey on unsuspecting individuals,” the announcement stated.

The government is calling on parents, guardians, and community leaders to join the fight against these schemes by educating their families and neighbours about the dangers.

Members of the public who encounter suspicious travel or recruitment activities are urged to report them immediately to the Ministry via the following contact points:
