Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko says his side is fully aware of the challenge posed by Karela United, but they are heading to the Naa Sheriga Sports Centre to secure all three points.
Tanko’s team will travel to the Northeast Region to face Karela United in a crucial matchday 31 fixture of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
Speaking to the media ahead of the clash, Tanko acknowledged Karela’s threat but remains confident his team can come away with a positive result.
“Karela is a stubborn side,” he said. “They beat the league leaders, Bibiani Gold Stars, at home, so they’ll be confident playing at home.
But we’ll try to win the game — and at the very least, pick up a point.”
Medeama will be aiming for a third consecutive league victory, following wins over Vision FC and Young Apostles.
The Mauve and Yellow will also be hoping to complete a season double over Karela United, having beaten them 1-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
