The Founder and CEO of Margins ID Group, Moses Baiden, has received the Industry Innovation Excellence Award at the 2025 Millennium Excellence Awards (MEA), marking his third consecutive recognition.

Previous honours include the Technology and Innovation Award in 2015 and “Man of the Year” in 2022.

Held every five years under the patronage of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, the MEA is one of Ghana’s most prestigious events, celebrating individuals whose work significantly advances the country’s development.

Driving Economic and Governance Reform

Mr. Baiden’s work goes beyond technology. The Ghana Card’s integration across sectors has improved service delivery, promoted transparency, and broadened access to the formal economy, catalysing broader reforms in governance and economic participation.

Catherine Morton, Executive Director of Eve International, praised Margins’ innovation, comparing its impact to firms in Silicon Valley. She highlighted the company’s ability to deliver world-class solutions tailored to Africa’s unique challenges.

For Mr. Baiden, the award is more than personal recognition — it reflects Ghana’s emergence as a serious player in the global tech space. His achievements reinforce the idea that Africa can solve its challenges using local innovation and talent.

Moses Baiden’s journey proves that with vision, integrity, and belief in local capacity, Africa’s digital future can be built from within. The 2025 MEA award celebrates not only his accomplishments, but also Ghanaian excellence and the boundless potential of homegrown solutions.
