On August 3, 2025 at about 13 hours, Officers from the Madina Police Command responded to a fire outbreak at Redco Flats, Madina.

Prosecution said while personnel were assisting the Fire Service personnel to douse the fire, a misunderstanding ensued between the accused and a group of people.

The court heard that soon after tempers were calmed down, Danlad left the scene and returned with a pump action gun and without any provocation, the accused started firing indiscriminately.

Due to the firing, people started running helter-skelter.

Prosecution said while people were running from the fire outbreak, the accused was busily firing towards the people and in the process six people were hit by the pellets from the pump action gun.

The prosecutor said the victim’s were rushed to the hospital where some were treated and discharged and others were referred to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

The court heard that Danlad after the act went into hiding. On September 12, 2025 at about 0500 hours, the accused was spotted at Madina Redco and he was arrested by the Police.

Prosecution said Danlad in his investigation caution statement admitted the offence.
