Belgium international and Manchester City star Jeremy Doku has officially become a citizen of Ghana after receiving his passport.
The 23-year-old was born in Antwerp to Ghanaian parents but represents Belgium on the international stage.
Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, revealed that the passport issuance was at the personal request of Doku and his family during a visit last week.

With his new chip-embedded passport in hand, Doku can now travel to Ghana without restriction and engage more freely with cultural and national initiatives.
The winger has already met Ghana’s Sports Minister, Kofi Adams, and the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, along with his wife and family at the Manhyia Palace during his stay in Ghana.
