President John Dramani Mahama is expected to deliver his first State of the Nation address on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

The Majority leader, Mahama Ayariga announced this in Parliament on Friday, February 21.

In fulfilling this constitutional requirement, the President would use this opportunity to “delve deeply into our current economic situation, what we inherited, and the plans moving forward to ensure economic revival” said Felix Ofosu Kwakye, the Minister of State in charge of government communications on Thursday, February 20.

Mr Ofosu Kwakye also announced at a media briefing after the first cabinet meeting of the administration that the National Economic Dialogue would take place on 3rd and 4th March, when various stakeholders are expected to meet and discuss matters aimed at transforming the country’s economy.

He added that the Finance Minister, Ato Forson will also deliver the government’s first budget on 11th March, which will outline government policies regarding the economy, and present measures to be implemented to overcome the current economic challenges.
