The fourth edition of The Bold New Normal Conference, convened by transformational business leader, author, and global speaker Lucy Quist, takes place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at The Enclave Garden, East Legon, Accra, with a focus on Language and Culture.

Each year, hundreds of change leaders gather at the conference to build on their journeys towards their Bold New Normal.

This year’s gathering, themed “Transformation Through Language and Culture: Rethinking Socialisation for Prosperity”, seeks to challenge the dominant narratives surrounding Africa’s development.

The conference will explore how culture and language, which are often misunderstood as obstacles, can serve as powerful tools to drive prosperity.

It is often said that culture holds the African continent back, but does it really?

Lucy is asking participants to challenge that notion by focusing on aspects of our culture that serve us well and shift mindsets across the continent.

What role do our music, art, and storytelling play in shaping our mindset and socialisation for prosperity?

Building on the principles outlined in Lucy Quist’s acclaimed book The Bold New Normal, the conference boldly invites participants to rethink inherited limitations and celebrate cultural frameworks that support growth, dignity, and economic success.

At its core, the event champions an Africa where individuals and institutions are intentionally shaping their paths toward inclusive, sustainable prosperity.

Over the years, the Bold New Normal Conference has emerged as a strategic platform for change leaders from across Ghana and the African continent to co-create actionable solutions to systemic challenges. This year, the focus turns to language as a tool for mindset renewal, and culture as a resource for innovation, identity, and collective advancement.

Reflecting on the ongoing journey, Lucy Quist explains, “Culture and language can serve as launchpads. Culture is embedded and passed down in language, literally dictating how we are socialised. If we can transform how we speak, think, and see ourselves, we can transform the future we build. It’s time to take captive every thought that holds us back and make it obedient to a new vision of African prosperity.”

The 2025 speaker lineup will include a diverse mix of industry leaders, scholars, creatives, and social innovators who are shaping conversations around leadership, mindset, culture, language, and innovation.

As with past editions, the day will conclude with a special masterclass led by Lucy Quist, equipping participants with tools to translate insight into tangible leadership action. Attendees will leave with personal action plans, a refreshed sense of purpose, and accountability partners to support their growth journey.
