The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is addressing its members following the resignation of the flagbearer aspirant, Alan John Kyerematen, from the party.

The party acknowledges that this decision is unfortunate, considering Mr. Kyeramten’s longstanding membership in the NPP and his significant roles within the party.

“The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken notice of the unfortunate decision of Mr Alan John Kyerematen, a long-standing member of the Party to forfeit his membership and contest as an independent presidential candidate,” a part of the press release stated.

However, NPP leadership has urged its members to remain calm in these difficult times and wait to be addressed on the matter at hand.

“The Party leadership is by this medium, urging the rank and file of our great Party to remain calm and await an official address by the Party to Mr. Kyerematen’s resignation at 14:00 pm on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at the Party’s headquarters,” it stated.
