Also this week, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, launched a scathing attack on the Electoral Commission (EC), declaring its entire leadership unfit for purpose and calling for their removal.

He pointed to what he described as a worrying pattern of electoral mismanagement under the current team.
The Bank of Ghana, in a letter dated 19 June 2025, communicated its decision not to confirm the appointments of a fraction of personnel recruited in December 2024, saying the affected persons’ appointments were not successful during the assessment. They have now been reinstated.
