Legacy Girls College, a leading all-girls institution, is celebrating a decade of excellence, resilience, and transformation. From starting with just one student in 2015, the school has grown tremendously, now boasting over 700 students, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and a reputation for academic excellence.

Marking its 10th-anniversary celebration, the school’s founders, Mrs. Essie Anno Sackey and Dr. Mrs. Ellen Hagan, reflected on the journey of establishing an institution that shapes confident and capable young women.

“More importantly, what we have learned from parents is that they see a change in their girls after the first term. In terms of confidence and the ability to express themselves, Legacy Girls is number one,” Dr. Mrs. Hagan stated.

The school’s humble beginnings saw a single block serving as classrooms, offices, dormitories, and even a kitchen. Despite the challenges, the founders remained committed to their vision.

“We started with just one block. It was a multipurpose space with everything in it. We believed in the vision so much ourselves, and we are thankful that other parents have also believed in it and brought their children here,” Mrs. Anno Sackey added.

Beyond academic achievements, Legacy Girls College is recognized for its role in nurturing confidence, leadership, and personal growth in its students.

Head Girl Paula Elinam Adzoso and Deputy Head Girl Abena Asabea Adjei shared how their experiences at the school have shaped them.

“Legacy has done a lot for me. Personally, I can now speak confidently in public—something I couldn’t have done before,” Paula shared.

“I’ve seen a lot of improvement since I came to Legacy Girls College. From my social life to my academics and time management, I’ve grown in so many ways,” Asabea added.

As Legacy Girls College celebrates 10 years of impact, it remains committed to grooming young women to make a mark and leave a lasting legacy in their communities and beyond.
